International Day of Peace Activities 2005

For the International Day of Peace 2005, Campaign for the Conscientious Objection in Bosnia and Herzegovina is once again organizing traditional activities for this day. Events planned for this significant day consist of three different parts and will take place in Sarajevo, BiH.

The first part of the program is the “Food Not Bombs” action that will take place at the “Svjetlost” park (space around the multi cultural man sculpture), from 12.00 to 16.00. For this action, there will be DJs from Macedonia and Sarajevo performing, vegetarian food for all visitors, various promotion materials, exhibitions and presentations by peace activists, peace initiatives from the world, and more.

The second segment of the event to celebrate International Day of Peace takes place at the Access club, and will screen activist and peace films while also securing a great atmosphere for people to get together and enjoy care-free time at this occasion. Film screenings will start around 16.00.

The continuation of our time together for the International Day of Peace will, through its third and final part, take place at the Wilson’s alley, specifically at the place popularly known as “Barake”. For the evening party, all are welcome to enjoy the “Rasta Active Selectors” from Skopje, Macedonia.

We would like to invite everyone to join this action and make the International Day of Peace greater with your presence. Entrance to all events is free of charge.
